First day, early in the morning, i went to............. guess where?
Can tell?? Btw... That's my uncle standing there.... And... this place is.... a cemetery!!! XD It's the Peranakan's custom to visit the grave of their deceased first thing in the morning of CNY.. haha.. and cos my grandma's a Peranakan, our family does it! haha.... weird right? But i do this every CNY when i'm in malaysia.. :D
See?? These are my uncles and cousins...Plus my grandma.. surrounding my YeYe's grave.. Though i'm a christian and dun believe in such... i just go there out of respect.. and it's FUN! My dad and uncles will chat about the old kampong days and joke about.. haha.. Notice there's like all guys and no girls (i'm the one behind the camera)? haha... so growing up among them made me more tomboy... =P
This is me!! a snapshot my bro took when i was sitting by my YeYe's grave...Anyway, after that we left the cemetery about 9 plus 10 and went for breakfast... Ate kaya roti prata and drank teh tarik!! super nice!!! I always order this when i'm there.. haha.. Then we head home.. Oh yah.. i live at my cousin's house whenever i'm back in malaysia.. AND!! They have a super cool new house! check this out!!
Kewl right?? It's like staying at a resort.. and in the morning, the wind is super cold and sometimes, u can even see mist... My uncle even has a special area in the garden where 2 star tortises can crawl about freely... and a 'pond' area with TONS of BIG goldfishes!! u can even catch them.. (squishy feeling though!)...So.... i was back in Singapore by the 4th day of CNY. Went to the usual places.. Grandma house, uncle aunty houses.. listen to adult tok... etc etc etc.... kinda bored.. But well.. meeting relatives once in a while is customary anyway... XD
Feeling 'complain-y' these few days... But.. shan't spoil this post by typing the complains.. Another post next time... (O.O)
