First up, ZENI GEBA. It refers to someone's who's crazy for money in japanese. Its a drama i watched quite awhile ago, always wanted to blog about it, but procrastinated till now. I could have just not blogged about it if not for the deep impression it left on me. Seldom do i see dramas that are SOOOOO dark. To really go crazy for $, to kill someone who loved u whole-heartedly, to kill a friend who could very well be your closest friend, to kill a family u almost could learn to love and enjoy, all because of money. A twisted show, VERY. So much so that u can't sleep well at night, u hyperventilate till you get to hug money. u have nightmares every single day, but u still continue plotting. Till u can no longer bare it, u seek death. Before your death, u dream, about how life would be if u weren't crazy for money, if u did not kill your would-be-friends, or family, or fiance. A sadly twisted show, with a depressing ending, a regrettable ending, unfortunately. But somehow, it just draws u to continue watching. Anyway, the actor was kenichi matsuyama (actor of L in deathnote) so it was quite refreshing to see this super twisted side of him after watching him act retardedly in other shows.
Secondly, pple to date. Yes, i've dated almost all my uber close friends. Now i'm left with EVELINE!!! Cash studio pls!!! and pengyous, with yw, xf ziyee, etc for singing k. I can't believed i haven't sang K the whole of this hols!
Thirdly, awl birthday celebrations. omg.. hweesh's post on this was so detailed, i'm tempted to just copy and paste it here. haha.. anyway, went marche for lunch with awl, jy, and hweesh. It just seems like a total singaporean meeting. Then bought a 'self-decorate' cake for him and we all had fun doing it~ XD then went to princept street, intending to go minds cafe for board games. But we stumbled upon another cafe that provides wii~ so we went there to play. 11.50 for 4 hours. not bad, had fun playing mario kart, house of the dead, VS fighting, and super mario! 4 players super mario land is uber fun. haha.. you'll end up dying more often and bouncing on each other's head. all in all, i hope the celebration was fun enuf for him, since its so small scale compared to others. :x
Next, its christmas. Without the christmas mood. Family gathering as usual, but spirits were quite low as the number of old folks decrease every year, and my grandma being hospitalized that very afternoon. Still, i had prezzies though. =)
Then, its... permanent fish!! (OMG i missed the concert!) Zzzz.... just realised this Japanese acappella group came to esplanade to perform. AND I MISSED IT!!!! i could kill myself. I'm always complaining to japanese groups ever come here. And i actually missed an ACAPPELLA performance by them?!?! k. their not very popular, andi only heard of them recently, not good looking either. But who cares when they can sing?! good harmonisation too! >.<Next, went out with yw to watch bodyguards and assasins at jurong point. Finally got to walk around jurong point. I just realised its so nice to shop there lah! i should go there more often. Din walk much in the end also cos lack of time, plus i sprained my ankle for the first time in my life when i was having flooball earlier. So its 'ouch' as i jalan jalan.
Last point~ SHOWS LEFT TO WATCH! -tokyo dogs (last 2 epi) -real clothes (waiting for subs) -othorus no inu (school reope, copy from eveline then watch) -code blue (see how.... seems nice) -buzzer beat (DVDs waiting for me to watch) -my girl (hopefully start it soon) Just finished You're Beautiful, a korean drama of 16 episodes. LOVED IT. Storylines are based on all the stuff i like in anime, drama or manga. Firstly, MUSIC. it's a boy band group. Secondly, gender bender. It the girl act as guy kinda show, then later everyone discover. I've read TONS of such manga, watched afew of these dramas, but i always like seeing it. =) Thirdly, there's shuai ge. the actor acted in beethoven virus and i love his musical talents! (though it might just be in the show) Fourthly, its soooo manga-like, and funny. =)
THERE! finished what i need to. next post would be tmr. On 2009 reflections and 2010 resolutions. Ironically, while everyone's out there celebrating on New Year's Eve, i'm home alone while my parents go visit my grandma in CGH, and my bro out with his friends. It's weird. From young, the rule was no outings on Eve's of CNY, New year, and christmas, cos its FAMILY time. (probably only for me, my bro has all the freedom) But here i am ALONE at home. Stupid. i could have gone out with indy for new year celebration instead. =.='' Argh! so many things in my mind, but i lack the will to sort them out and put them down in words. I shall just type them in the next post as reflections.
