2010-2011 transition

Reread my 2010 new year post.
I realised i was emo-ing then.... haha.. thank god this year my emo period was about 2 weeks ago.... XD I'm now having the 'grateful-for-friendships' mood, which explains why i wrote a note in FB rather than just blogging here, since not many know of my blog.
So.... reviewing 2010 New Year Resolutions:
-pull up my frigging cap.
sem4, i screwed up badly. Sem5, i pulled it up a little bity bit.
-find an aim
haven't found one.
-revise jap
Did not do that. But i'm taking Jap1 in NUS already. =)
-study
On and off.... :X
-stop procrastinating.
Ha... i still do.
5 simple things to do. Can i?
Obviously i didn't complete doing these 5...
Haha... oh well... hopefully 2011 will be a better year... Oh! i got a new HP too~ Sony Ericsson Xperia.... =) hope i won't keep playing it and not study....
2011 resolutions - concentrate on studies. only 1 resolution. =)

It's 1 Jan 2011 already....
I really felt that 2010 just flew passed before I knew it.

Highlights of 2010: (whatever i rmb)
-Ladybugs
Yup, indy band that i 'joined' to perform for crystal's green comm event. Finally got to play in a band together with indy. =) great experience, though we really screwed up the performance. But who cares~ XD it's our first time
- Bad CAP (sem4)
Got the worse cap ever in my entire academic life in NUS, lotsa Ds and Cs. Pulled my cap way way down again....
- Good CAP (sem5)
My best sem results, though in others eyes, these sucky results ain't great. But to someone stupid like me, i'm REALLY thankful to get Bs... and nothing lower than C+. Still no As though... But i've faced the fact, i ain't smart.
-YULING
Passing of a friend. Never expected life to be so fragile. One day she's there, the next, she's gone. I still think of her often. I'm treasuring friendships much much more now.
- Japan Trip
Finally got to sit an airplane. Went to Japan in May, with Jean, Eveline and Meihui... Toured tokyo, kyoto, osaka in 10 days. Dead tired, but i still enjoyed it to the max. Great company, great experience, great weather... I WANNA GO AGAIN!
- 21st Birthday
Yup, turned 21. Nothing great to me, it's not like i got my freedom. But i'm thankful for the company i had. =) On the actual day, 19th, had breakfast with yw, then went to spring a surprise on shiying, my 'da jie' who has the same bday as me, at her clothes shop. Back to school for lecture, but leturer (3112) ended the 2hr lecture in 30mins. LOL. Went home for the simple cutting of cake, and rumin+cathy dropped by my house. A really pleasant and unexpected surprise. The next day, Indy actually found time to celebrate my bday with dinner till 1am in RH though i'm no longer staying there. love them! Oh, and i drank baileys at RH too~ XD AQUOS celebrated with me a week later with a delicious dinner at Food for Thought. Jean and brandy treated me to sumo house...
Overall, not the usual 21st party everyone has, cos i was lazy to plan one. Plus, its not like 21 will be my celebration to adulthood.There's nothing to celebrate about it, but my friends still made an effort to, thanks! If ever i'm gonna hold a bday celebration, it'll probably be when i graduate/start working, when i truly am free to do what i want.
- Birthay celebrations
Quite a number to birthday parties/celebration to attend. Had a great time catching up with old friends and realizing that some bonds will never fade... =)
- Melaka trip
YES! 2day 1 night trip to melaka with INDY. FINALLY got to tour melaka as a tourist, rather than just visiting my grandma, and going to the same old Jusco year after year. Thanks to Kevin for planning and hosting us all. =) and thanks to indy for making the whole trip fun fun fun.

BEST PART: Friendships.
AQUOS - Birthdays celebrated every year, no matter how busy. Meetups are ALWAYS fun, planting trees, cycling, singing k, eating lunches/dinner. Old friends who are still VERY comfortable to mix with despite the fact that we seldom meet up.
YW - My movie buddy, study buddy, etc.... i miss going out with her. =(
2G pple + TPSC - old buddies, who meet to joke around on and off. Miss them, i do. But i lack the time and freedom to organise meetings.
NUS pple - Brandon, Jean, Eveline, Bharathi, HRgrp, ME3101grp. Engine friends who make my school days bearable, who help me with my studies despite my stupidity, who brighten up my day when i'm stressed. I'm glad i knew all of you! Slowly getting to know them better, strengthening friendships. I'm really thankful.
RH - INDY AND CHOIR. They are the ones who add the bulk of joy into my life in 2010. All of you mean so much to me. Without RH, my life will seriously be dull dull dull. Despite the fact that i no longer live there, i've gotten to know them better this 2010. I have no idea why... Previously, some were friends whom i'm not exactly close to, but i've somehow gotten the chance to mix more with them. A chance for which i'm thankful for. I'm glad to say, indy felt like a real close family to me. That's why i was happily calling daddy, mummy and siblings during the melaka trip. =) love all of you~

Just wanna sum it up by saying, 2010 was a meaningful year to me, with lotsa ups and downs. But thanks to friends who brighten up my day, i survived. I'm glad to have known all of you, friends who don't despise me cos i'm short/fat/stupid. XD
