Yes~!! I could go~!! Finally, i could meet up with sgclub jrock pple like sunny,ruka, ika, shiro, face, etc... The bands were real good too! With Sugianto from season 1 jue dui superstar as the emcee! Haha... He was really funneh~!
First up... 'yi xuan feng~!' Lotsa head banging.. but i can't figure out wad he's growling... Good growling though~! ^^
Then it was Quis... Very good vocals.. Clear and in tune.. apparently he was top 20 in campus superstar too... But good cover on most songs.. driver's high by l'arc~en~ciel was good. the world by naitomea was great too... Lurved his vocals..
Then was JM-Kai... Wasn't really impressed by his vocals... But maybe it's cos i dunno the songs they do.... i THINK it was them who did Glamorous Sky by mika nakashima... Not bad... But kinda average to me....
Lemon~! Nice vocals..tight band... All of them are working adults... good guitar riffs... Just that they are more pop than rock... aww... but no matter.. The vox was real good... Sang a song by DAI, deep forest...She has THE POWER.. haha...
Then~! Was a solo performer... Jerrod Yeo.. Haha. But he's not related to me... Performed about 3 songs J-pop. Vocals are not bad... Can speak jap, the way he acted was just like one of Johnny's kawaii boy bands... overall... NICE~! Haha... I lurved the jap rendition of last christmas~! XD
Next up was.... Hidama... Great band... won first in a japanese rock competition in thailand in 2007. Technique-wise... all was great... Professional performance. The singer had a good voice... They aren't the usual japanese rock band.. They tend more towards jazz rock.. Which is great as well.. Just like tokyo jihen. U can REALLY tell how VERY skilled each musician is. Esp the keyboards.. It just WOAh~!
Lastly~! Ethe'real~!!!! The top 4 band in the recent season of super band. Haha.. watching them life is real great.... Kunio TOTALLY has the ability to liven up the show... with him stand on the stomper, towering over everyone... It just cool to watch a live rock concert...
Unfortuantely, singaporeans, being singaporeans, are sooooo not enthu... We dun jump with the music, we dun really cramp infront of the stage and go crazy as the bands rock away. We just sit and stare at them. Haha... i pity the performers. Still, this live was rockin'~! XD Argh... i really wanna learn bass... listening to the pro basslines... I just LURVE the sound!! haha.. But i dun think i'll ever learn it... Unless i'm disciplined enuf to prac hard. haha.. k time to sleep...
